MediCam is an AI-based wound detection platform built to support triage in under-resourced clinical settings, where specialist assessment of wounds is often delayed.

The classification model was developed using more than 5,000 wound images, with the mobile interface designed for use by frontline staff rather than specialists.

MediCam has been deployed in four government hospitals and received the CREST Gold Award from the British Science Association, meeting 15/15 qualification requirements. It was also a Diamond Challenge finalist.
